ILLINOIS – Monte Wolke, senior from Cumberland High School, made his future evident, February 4, 2015 by signing his NLI (National Letter of Intent). February 4th marks the first day that high school seniors could sign scholarship papers for the following sports: Football, Men and Women’s Soccer, Water polo (Mens’ only), and more.
The letter of intent is a binding agreement between the student-athlete and a college, by which the student-athlete agrees to attend the college for one academic year.
Wolke, will be looking to continue his academic career at McKendree University and his athletic career playing Football for the Bearcats. Cumberland senior Monte Wolke signed his letter of intent to play for McKendree University on Wednesday, Feb. 4. Wolke, a standout quarterback, defensive back and kicker for the Pirates, has been recruited as a punter for the Bearcats. He owns most of the punting records at Cumberland.
